Hangar Labs LLC ("we," "us") builds small software in Virginia, USA. This policy covers our apps — Overhead Sky and Stochastic Music Tyrant — and this website. The short version: we collect as little as possible, we never sell your data, and we run no advertising or cross-site trackers.

What we collect, in general

We are built around keeping data on your device. Where information must travel, it goes through our own servers (hosted on Cloudflare) or the specific third parties named below, never to a data broker or ad network. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

Overhead Sky

Overhead Sky names the aircraft passing over you.

Your location stays on your device. Overhead uses your approximate location locally to know which patch of sky to ask about. Your precise coordinates are not sent to us.
Aircraft queries go to adsb.lol, the volunteer ADS-B network, using a rounded position (about a kilometer of blur). Like any site you visit, adsb.lol sees your IP address. Route lookups go through our server (api.overheadsky.com), which keeps short-lived, coarse geographic cache entries to reduce cost; these are not tied to your identity.
No account is required to use Overhead's core features.
Direct purchase records: if you buy from us directly, we store your purchase email and a license record so we can issue and validate your license key (see Payments).

Stochastic Music Tyrant

Stochastic Music Tyrant is a shuffle player for a library you already own on Apple Music or Spotify.

Sign-in. You authorize the app with Apple Music (via Sign in with Apple) or Spotify. To keep you signed in across sessions and devices, our server stores a stable account identifier and, for Spotify, an encrypted access-refresh token. We use the minimum permissions needed to read your library and control playback.
Your listening is between your device and Apple/Spotify. Playback and library reads flow directly between your device and the music service; we do not receive or store your listening history.
The tyrant's ledgers — banished songs, pardons, reign history — are stored locally in your browser or app, not on our servers.
Optional playlists. On Spotify, banishing or favoriting a song can mirror to two private playlists in your own account ("The Block," "The Pardoned"). We never modify anything else in your library.
Purchase status is stored on our server, keyed to your account identifier, so your one-time purchase follows you (see Payments).

Payments

Purchases made directly from us are processed by Stripe. Card details go to Stripe and never touch our servers — we never see or store your card number. We retain only a purchase record: an order identifier, your account identifier or purchase email, a timestamp, and (for desktop products) an issued license key. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are handled by those platforms under their terms.

Third parties we rely on

We share only what each service needs to do its job:

Stripe — payment processing. stripe.com/privacy
Apple — Sign in with Apple and Apple Music (MusicKit), and App Store distribution. apple.com/legal/privacy
Spotify — library access and playback for the Spotify edition. spotify.com privacy
Cloudflare — hosting, our API proxy, and the licensing service; standard server logs. cloudflare.com privacy
Aircraft data providers (for Overhead Sky) — adsb.lol, the source of live aircraft positions, queried by the app with a rough position; route data is served through our proxy.
Google Play — distribution of the Android app.

Your choices and rights

Revoke access to your music account any time at Apple ID settings or spotify.com/account/apps; this cuts the app off from your library.
Delete your data. Email us and we will delete your stored account identifier, token, and purchase record. Note that deleting a purchase record may end access you paid for.
Local data (ledgers, caches) clears when you sign out or clear the app's storage.
Children. Our apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Location. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data; contact us to exercise them.
